man crashes SUV into building in Staten Island

An elderly man crashed his SUV into a historic Staten Island building. He hit into this historic house on Staten Island and did significant damage to the building. The man was elderly, and the building hit into was built in the 19th-century. The accident ripped off part of the outer facade and left a room in the building exposed to the outside.

The motorist, who has still not been identified, hit his silver Land Rover in The Guyon Tavern around 9:30 p.m. The building was located on Richmond Road in the area’s Historic Richmond Town. This information came from the police.

Emergency responders took the driver, who is 73-years-old, to the Staten Island University Hospital North with a minor injury to his leg.

There does not appear to be any criminal activity associated with the crash. The biggest loser was to the building and the historical nature of the building.
