The fire started at around 13:37 in the morning on the top floor of a three-story building. The building was located on 1732 White Plains Road in Van Nest.
The fire spread to the second floor in a short amount of time.
The fire was declared to be under control at around 1 in the morning.
According to authorities, no civilians were injured in the blaze. The firefighter is said to have only suffered minor injuries.
