On April 30, the New York State Police were investigating a motor vehicle crash that happened on the Taconic State Parkway near Exit 8. This incident happened in the town of New Castle and involved a vehicle and a motorcycle. This occurred at around April 28 at 7 at night.
The accident caused one person’s death. The investigation shows that a Mercury sedan was making a lane change and hit the driver’s side of a 2017 motorcycle. The motorcycle was being drier by Scott V. McMahon. He lost control and hit the center median and was thrown from his bike. A doctor who was on the road stopped to help until emergency services got there. McMahon was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The police are still looking into this crash.
