Truck Driver in Critical Condition in Wheatfield Crash

 

A pickup driver was in critical condition at Erie County Medical Center after he backed out of his driveway and hit into oncoming traffic. This happened in Shawnee Road in Wheatfield. This information comes from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened at around 6:30 in the morning between Slusaric Road and Wildwing Drive.

The driver of the pickup was John Moudy, He is a 29-year-old from Wheatfield. He was listed in critical condition after he was taken by a Mercy Flight to ECMC. Moudy had to be extricated from the vehicle. His truck was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

It appears that there were no injuries to the driver of the other vehicle. The person who hit the pickup was Nicholas J. Prohaska, 34, of North Tonawanda.

Police are still investigating the crash.
