Two people have been arrested for DWIs in Putnam County.

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reported that a 40-year-old woman from Danbury and a 33-year-old man from Shrub Oak were arrested for driving while drunk.

This happened on April 21 at around 2:30 in the morning. Sergeant Timothy Keith arrested Karla C. Gnomes in the Town Southeast. She was arrested after she could be seen driving erratically. She had a BAC greater than .08% and was also charged with other traffic violations.

Deputy Sheriff Kevin Radovis stopped a vehicle in the Town of Putnam Valley at around 8:20 at night on April 23. He could smell marijuana and had the driver take sobriety tests. After the man failed the tests, he was arrested. The man was 33-year-old Peter P. Cancro from Shrub Oak.
