Update: Driver of Mercedes Arrested After Crash

We are here with another update on the crash that injured at least eight people. This crash happened in Brooklyn on Friday night.

The cops have arrested a drunk driver in connection with the incident. The incident left eight people hospitalized and at least two of those people had serious injuries.

The man being charged is David Olivier, 27-years-old. He is facing drunk driving charges for the Friday night accident that involved three vehicles and injured pedestrians, too. He was driving his Mercedes and speeding down Flatbush Avenue when the accident occurred.

Officials say he rear-ended a 2015 BMW, and then he went further out of control and drove on a sidewalk, slamming into four men.

Medics took the four pedestrians to Kings County Hospital. Two of them were critically injured. They were 17 and 21-years-old and suffered head wounds.

Olivier also injured two other motorists. They were women aged 39 and 22.

The NYPD is conducting an investigation into the crash.
