There may be certain time limits involved. If the bus is a New York City Transit Authority or Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“MTA”) bus, a Notice of Claim must be filed within ninety (90) days of the accident. A lawsuit must be filed within one year and 90 days.
With respect to the No Fault or Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits, a No Fault application known as an NF2 form must be filed within thirty (30) days of the accident to ensure your medical bills are paid.
