Are there different types of seizures?

Yes. Usually a seizure will start in a specific location within the brain and then it may or may not travel to other areas of the brain.
- What is Grand Mal seizure?
When a seizure starts in one part of the brain and then spreads to other areas of the head, it is called a generalized or grand mal seizure. - b. What is a partial seizure?
A seizure where only a small area of the brain is affected.
