Update: Firefighter Airlifted While Fighting Fire

This story is an update on a story we reported on earlier this week.

A Geneva firefighter had to be airlifted to the hospital after suffering from a heart issue. This occurred while he was fighting a house fire in Seneca County on Monday night. This information came from volunteer firefighters.

Firefighters were fighting the fire outside the home which was located at 31 Moore Street in Border City. While doing so, the firefighter was having heart issues.

A Mercy Flight took him to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. His condition was still not known as of Monday night. As of now, more updates have not been made available. If we hear any more news about the condition of this firefighter, we will keep you posted.

The fire departments from Border City, Waterloo, and Geneva were all at the scene.
