Police Identify Ashley N. Schmidt as Motorcyclist who Died in Crash
The Niagara Falls Police Department has identified the 32-year-old woman from Grand Island who died on Sunday night. She died after she was ejected from her motorcycle.
The woman, Ashley N. Schmidt, lost control of the motorcycle she was driving at around 8:20 in the evening, according to police. This occurred on Ferry Avenue near 19th Street. She hit the curb and was thrown from the bike.
Schmidt was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The crash is still being looked into by police.
She is survived by two children, and her funeral will be held on Saturday at the Kaiser Funeral Home in Grand Island.
