In Danbury, a tractor-trailer driver was charged after crashing into multiple vehicles including a New York State Police cruiser and for driving while under the influence of drugs.

A NYSP trooper saw the accident while conducting a traffic stop at around 10 in the morning on Friday on I-684 northbound.

Police say that Christopher Hillman, driving a 2005 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, hit a car in front of him. He then drove to the right shoulder and hit the patrol car and another vehicle.

Police have reported there were injuries involved. The extent of the injuries is not known at this time.

Hillman has been charged with multiple counts including reckless endangerment in the second degree.
