Bronx, NY (July 24, 2026) – A 57-year-old man was critically injured after a Honda SUV struck him while he was riding a bicycle on the City Island Bridge, police said. The crash happened just after 9:15 a.m.
According to police, a 39-year-old woman driving the Honda SUV collided with the cyclist on the bridge. The force of the impact launched the bicycle to the opposite side of the street. Video from the scene showed the SUV’s windshield shattered and a shoe resting on the hood.
