Construction Worker Dies after Hit-and-Run
A construction worker is dead 8 months after a hit-and-run accident in Queens. The victim was Lorenzo Anderson. He was hit in Queens, and the driver is still on the loss.
The driver of the car was filming a music video at the time. He was driving a Mercedes on 36th Avenue near 12th Street. The accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. The driver of the year then ditched the Mercedes.
Anderson, the victim, died in a Bronx nursing home on March 19.
His brother, Ricky Anderson, said, “We want justice for my brother, he didn’t deserve to go out like this, no one deserves to go out like this.”
After the accident, police questioned a backseat passenger who was left behind in the car after the driver fled, but no one was charged. The police did not have enough evidence to hold the passengers.
Anderson’s family is still looking for answers.
