Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Hit-and-Run in Shirley
Police are looking into a hit-and-run accident that happened in Suffolk County. This accident left one pedestrian seriously injured.
The incident occurred at around 2:30 in the morning on Sunday on William Floyd Parkway near Flintlock Drive in Shirley.
The police say a man was walking west to east on the parkway when he was hit by a car that was going southbound.
The vehicle fled the scene.
Suffolk County Detectives are still investigating.
The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. His identity has not been released at this time.
