2 Teenagers Accused of Starting Fire in Auburn

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged because of a large fire that caused damage to a vacant building on Perrine Street in Auburn.

The police said witnesses saw the teenagers leaving the building just before the fire was reported.

The teenage boys, both of them from Auburn, were found on Clark Street Road. They were both interviewed and then charged.

Their names and photographs are not going to be released because they are minors.

One of them, 16-years-old, was charged with fourth-degree arson and trespass. The other teenager was charged with trespassing.

Police and other emergency responders arrived at the scene at around 11 in the morning on Saturday.

It appears that no one was injured in this fire.

If you have been seriously injured in a fire that was caused by the negligent or criminal actions of another person, the person responsible could be required to pay you for the damages including medical bills.
