In Long Island, a Westbury man is being charged with assault. He is being charged with assault after he allegedly struck two people with his car after an incident fighting over a parking space.

The incident happened on the Jericho Turnpike near the intersection of Mineola Boulevard in Mineola.

According to Nassau County police, Anthony Scott, a 37-year-old, was double parked. He got into a fight with three people who were in another car. According to witnesses, Scott then attacked the three people.

There was a brief physical altercation, and the victims started walking back to the sidewalk when Scott sped up and crashed into them. A 52-year-old woman was injured as well as a 38-year old man.

Scott is also looking at charges from a past incident for impersonating a police officer.

He pled not guilty to the assault charges.
