An MTA Bridges and Tunnels officer is going to trial after being indicted for allegedly striking a pedestrian while on duty and then dropping him off in Staten Island. His court date is set for May. The hearings are being held for Lawrence Ffrench, a 43-year-old, who is being held without bail. He has been appearing in court since June 2017 for the alleged hit and run incident. On Saturday, April 14, a falling scaffolding that encircled a Brooklyn Heights building came crashing down. This resulted in injury to three people who were walking by. This information comes from officials who were at the scene at the time.
