Update: Crash Near JFK Airport Killed Engaged Couple
An update on the traffic multi-vehicle accident that occurred earlier this month is available.
The accident was a forty five-car collision that happened near the JFK airport. A young couple, a man and a woman, who had recently become engaged, were killed in the car crash.
The victims have been identified as Yisrael Levin, 21, who is the son of a Brooklyn rabbi, and Elisheva Basya Kaplan, 20, who is from Queens. They were a newly engaged couple. They were killed in the accident that happened on the Nassau Expressway.
The two of them got engaged just one week ago and were planning on getting married in three months.
Cops have arrested two drivers from Brooklyn who were reportedly intoxicated when the crash happened. The police are investigating if they were responsible for the accident.
