Police Identify Suspect in Hit-and-Run
On May 1 in Geneseo, Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies have identified the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run that led to the death of one person. They have also said that the person is not yet in custody. They say that 54-year-old Valeri Belioutsa hit and killed Nicholas Iannarelli. The accident happened on Saturday morning while Nicholas was walking on Route 63 near Court Street. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident. The company that Belioutsa works for is cooperating with the investigation. They say the investigation as being treated as a criminal one but that no one has been charged at this time. Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash
A New York motorcyclist was severely hurt in a crash that happened on Route 7 going Southbound on Monday night of April 30. Nathan Spiro from Bedford was driving south on Route 7 when he lost control of his motorcycle. The police report that two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The vehicles included a 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude that was being driven by Jorge Rodriguez-Novascatala and a 2007 Prius that was being driven by Kathleen Sophia Abouzeide. The drivers of the vehicles were not hurt in the accident, and the cars did not need to be towed. Update: Shirley Hit-and-Run Crash
In Shirley, Long Island, police are still looking into a crash that left a pedestrian in critical condition. The crash was a hit-and-run accident. This incident occurred at about 2:30 in the morning last Sunday on William Floyd Parkway near Flintlock Drive.
