Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Hit-and-Run in Shirley
Police are looking into a hit-and-run accident that happened in Suffolk County. This accident left one pedestrian seriously injured. The incident occurred at around 2:30 in the morning on Sunday on William Floyd Parkway near Flintlock Drive in Shirley. The police say a man was walking west to east on the parkway when he was hit by a car that was going southbound. The vehicle fled the scene. Suffolk County Detectives are still investigating. The victim was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. His identity has not been released at this time. Update: 3 Killed in Queens House Fire
A family in Queens is dealing with devastating loss after losing three members of their family in a house fire. The fire also left many relatives injured. This fire started just before midnight on Saturday in a two-story home on 211th Street in Queens Village. The three-alarm fire started and engulfed the first two floors. Firefighters took about two hours to get the fire under control. A more of two was able to get out and get her kids out, but she ran back in to save other family members and did not make it back in. This woman, Harleen Kaur, knew other people were trapped inside and tried to rescue her loved ones. Ragvir Kaur-Kainth, 82, and Pyara Kainth, 87, also passed away in the fire. Update: Man Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Queens

A man was killed after a hit-and-run accident that occurred early Sunday in Queens. The injured man was Azeemuddin Jalaluddin, 54-years-old, he had severe trauma from the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials. The investigation found that the Honda Pilot involved in the accident had New York State license plates. It was traveling west on Hillside Avenue. Police are still looking for the man who caused the accident. The vehicle did not remain on the scene. Update: Danbury Tractor-Trailer Hits New York Patrol Car
In Danbury, a tractor-trailer driver was charged after crashing into multiple vehicles including a New York State Police cruiser and for driving while under the influence of drugs. A NYSP trooper saw the accident while conducting a traffic stop at around 10 in the morning on Friday on I-684 northbound. Police say that Christopher Hillman, driving a 2005 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, hit a car in front of him. He then drove to the right shoulder and hit the patrol car and another vehicle. Police have reported there were injuries involved. The extent of the injuries is not known at this time. Man Fatally Struck in Queens While Crossing Street
Police Are looking for a driver who caused a hit-and-run accident that led to one fatality. This accident occurred in Queens on Sunday. Police responded to a call at around 12:40 in the morning. The call said a pedestrian had been hit at Hillside Avenue and 153rd Street. Police found a 54-year-old man unconscious with severe trauma over his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has been identified as Azeemuddin Jalaluddin. The early investigation found that a Honda Pilot was traveling west when it struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street. 3 Dead, More Injured in House Fire in Queens
Three people have died and at least three others are being listed in critical condition after a fire that started at a home in Queens on Saturday night. The fire started at around midnight on 93-20 211th Street in Queens Village. The fire spread through the two-story house. FDNY crews helped 11 individuals get out of the house, and they were taken to local hospitals. This information comes from the police. Ragvir Kaur-Kainth, 82, Pyara Kainth, 87 and Harleen Kaur, 32, all died in the fire. Three other people are in critical condition including an 8-year-old.
