Police Identify Suspect in Hit-and-Run

On May 1 in Geneseo, Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies have identified the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run that led to the death of one person. They have also said that the person is not yet in custody.

They say that 54-year-old Valeri Belioutsa hit and killed Nicholas Iannarelli. The accident happened on Saturday morning while Nicholas was walking on Route 63 near Court Street. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident.

The company that Belioutsa works for is cooperating with the investigation.

They say the investigation as being treated as a criminal one but that no one has been charged at this time.
