Update: Long Island City Fire Injures 8

This story is an update on a story that we posted about earlier this week.

At least eight people have been injured in a fire that started in Queens on Tuesday night.

Officials say that they got a call at around 8:30 in the evening about a fire that was blazing on the first floor of a four-story building. The building was located on 11-14 46th Street in Long Island City.

12 FDNY units and 65 firefighters responded to this incident.

At least 8 civilians, maybe more, were hurt. One of them was critically injured and taken to the hospital. Three other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The fire was said to be under control by 10:30 at night.

If you’ve been seriously hurt in a fire, and that fire was caused by someone else who was acting negligently or recklessly, you could seek compensation for what happened to you by filing a personal injury claim. If you’ve sustained burn injuries because of the actions of another person, a personal injury lawyer can help you. If you need help with a claim in New York, call Frekhtman & Associates at (212) 222-1111.
