3 Dead, More Injured in House Fire in Queens

Three people have died and at least three others are being listed in critical condition after a fire that started at a home in Queens on Saturday night. The fire started at around midnight on 93-20 211th Street in Queens Village. The fire spread through the two-story house. FDNY crews helped 11 individuals get out of the house, and they were taken to local hospitals. This information comes from the police. Man Dead in Geneseo Hit-and-Run

This Saturday, a man in his 20s died in a hit-and-run that happened early in the morning in Geneseo. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office posted on their Facebook page that the accident happened on Route 63 south of Court Street. This places the accident west of SUNY Geneseo’s campus. Route 63 was closed from the 63/20a to Court Street for many hours as an investigation was going on. The road reopened at around 9 in the morning. Details Released in Crash that Killed Officer Crossley

The State Police have now released more details concerning the fatal crash that led to the death of Officer Kevin Crossley earlier in this month. They say that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. They have also said that the driver of the other car has been ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. Man Was Going 154 MPH in Long Island Crash that Killed 5

Five people died in a Valentine’s Day crash that occurred in Ridge. Four of the victims were in one vehicle which burst into flames during the accident. A mother and two of her adult children were among those killed. The man accused of speeding down the road at 154 miles per hour was 23 years-old, and he has been prosecuted. Police Identify Ashley N. Schmidt as Motorcyclist who Died in Crash

The Niagara Falls Police Department has identified the 32-year-old woman from Grand Island who died on Sunday night. She died after she was ejected from her motorcycle. The woman, Ashley N. Schmidt, lost control of the motorcycle she was driving at around 8:20 in the evening, according to police. This occurred on Ferry Avenue near 19th Street. She hit the curb and was thrown from the bike. Schmidt was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The crash is still being looked into by police.
