MTA Fatal Collision Ruled Not Criminal
This story is new as it happened on April 5, 2018. There was a fatal train collision that happened south of the Beacon Train Station. The accident has been ruled not criminal, according to Nancy Gamerman. She is a spokesperson for Metro-North. The train was scheduled to arrive at the Beacon Station at 12:08 p.m. The train hit an unidentified victim at 12:24 p.m. The incident left one person dead, and it appears to have involved an unauthorized person who was on the train tracks. The captain of the Metropolitan Transit Authority police, Jennifer Kelly, said that there were six officers who were on the scene. She said that everyone on board, about 100 people including passengers and staff, were checked on. The investigation into this incident is still ongoing. The victim has still not been identified. The exact circumstances and why the accident happened are still unknown. Multiple trains
