Fire Damages Barns in Fleming
At 1 p.m. on April 24, progress was happening at the scene of a structure fire. This fire involved two barns and occurred on Silver Street Road in Fleming. Multiple fire departments were at the scene. This information comes from first responders. They said that the barns were full-involved when the crews got there to fight the fires. A fire investigation team was also requested to come to the scene. Silver Street Road between Mobbs and Stone School roads was closed because of the fire. Details Released in Crash that Killed Officer Crossley
The State Police have now released more details concerning the fatal crash that led to the death of Officer Kevin Crossley earlier in this month. They say that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. They have also said that the driver of the other car has been ticketed for failing to yield the right of way. Investigators have said that Crossley was killed when a pickup hot into his patrol car. This happened at the intersection Oriskany Boulevard and Westmoreland Street on April 11. A witness and video evidence showed that Crossley was making a U-turn on Oriskany Boulevard. His speed at the time of the accident was around 74 miles per hour. Car Crashes into Home in Sennett and Causes Injury to One Person
In Cayuga County, officials are looking into a car crash that occurred on Mutton Hill Road. This crash happened on Sunday. They received a call at about 11 in the morning. This call reported that vehicle accident had occurred when a car crashed into a house at 7180 Mutton Hill Road in Sennett. The Auburn Citizen reported that there was one adult as well as three children who were involved in this accident. One person had to be taken to the hospital. Three other people refused medical care. Man Was Going 154 MPH in Long Island Crash that Killed 5
Five people died in a Valentine’s Day crash that occurred in Ridge. Four of the victims were in one vehicle which burst into flames during the accident. A mother and two of her adult children were among those killed. The man accused of speeding down the road at 154 miles per hour was 23 years-old, and he has been prosecuted. The man who caused the accident was Jamel Turner. Prosecutors say he was driving a stolen car and going around 154 miles per hour. They are also alleging that Turner bragged to friends that he would outrun the police if they tried to stop him. Turner was also injured in the crash. The accident involved an oil truck, his vehicle, and two other cars. He pled not guilty to multiple charges including reckless endangerment. He has been in custody since the time of the accident.
