Joseph Carlacci of Eden Identified in North Collins Crash

A driver who died in a car crash in North Collins last weekend has been identified. According to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, the man who died was Joseph Carlacci. He was 20-years-old and from Eden.

He was found by two sheriff’s deputies at around 4 in the morning off Jennings Road in North Collins. His car was left on the road and was found against multiple trees. The deputies searched the area and found he had been thrown out of his car. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the police said.

The incident is still being investigated by the Sheriff’s Crash Investigation Unit. This Unit was dispatched to the crash site.
