Police Investigating Crash in Newburgh

The State Police are looking into a personal injury accident that occurred in the Town of Newburgh. The incident involved a New York State Police vehicle and a Town of Newburgh Police vehicle.

The incident occurred on April 29 at around 9:30 at night. It happened on State Route 300.

Both of the cars were going southbound. The state police vehicle was in the driving lane and the Newburgh police vehicle was in the passing lane. The trooper saw another vehicle not involved in the accident in violation of a traffic law. So, the trooper tried to make a U-turn and hit the Newburn police vehicle.

Both drivers were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital. They both were treated for minor injuries and then released.

This accident is still being looked into.
