4 People Injured in Melville 4-Vehicle Crash
On April 7, four people were injured in a car crash that involved four vehicles. The accident happened in Melville on Saturday afternoon. According to fire officials who arrived on the scene, the crash happened on Bagatelle Road and the South Service Road. It occurred at around 4:40 in the afternoon. The Melville Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene where they transported four people to Huntington Hospital and Plainview Hospital. The victims were transported by the Millville Rescue Squad. It is reported that their injuries were not life-threatening. About 25 emergency responders came to the scene and brought three ambulances, an engine, a rescue truck, a paramedic unit, and fire police. The extent of the injuries is not known. Person Hit and Killed by Train While Walking Along Tracks

Two NYC Transit Workers Killed in One Week
An update on a story we reported on earlier. A New York City transit worker was killed in late March while at a bus depot in Queens. The victim was Stephen Livecchi. He is a 59-year-old man. He was directing traffic at the depot at around 10 in the morning when the bus operation ran over him. The bus operator failed to see the man while he was driving in reverse. Livecchi had been at the job for 37 years and was pronounced dead at the scene. His sister-in-law, Clara Hunter, a 52-year-old, told the New York Daily News that, “We’re devastated.
