Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Crash

A New York motorcyclist was severely hurt in a crash that happened on Route 7 going Southbound on Monday night of April 30. Nathan Spiro from Bedford was driving south on Route 7 when he lost control of his motorcycle. The police report that two other vehicles were involved in the accident. The vehicles included a 2014 Jeep Compass Latitude that was being driven by Jorge Rodriguez-Novascatala and a 2007 Prius that was being driven by Kathleen Sophia Abouzeide. Police Identify Ashley N. Schmidt as Motorcyclist who Died in Crash

The Niagara Falls Police Department has identified the 32-year-old woman from Grand Island who died on Sunday night. She died after she was ejected from her motorcycle. The woman, Ashley N. Schmidt, lost control of the motorcycle she was driving at around 8:20 in the evening, according to police. This occurred on Ferry Avenue near 19th Street. She hit the curb and was thrown from the bike. Schmidt was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead. The crash is still being looked into by police.
