Update: GPS Did Not Warn bus Driver of Danger of Overpass
This story is an update on the bus crash we reported on earlier this week. The driver of the bus was from out of state. He was driving a charter bus full of high school students when he crashed into an overpass on a Long Island Parkway. He was using a non-commercial GPS device that didn’t let him know about the hazard. The accident was easily preventable, and it left two passengers seriously injured, the police said. State police Major David Candelaria said the driver didn’t even slow down before hitting into the overpass. The overpass bans buses and other commercial vehicles from going under it because it is too low. The driver of the bus didn’t have a high-tech warning system. According to Nassau County police, they responded to a call of a car crashing into a dry cleaning business early on Sunday morning. Update on Man, Russell Henry, Found Dead in Bronx Fire
This story is an update on an earlier story about a man who was found dead in a Bronx fire. On Monday, a man was found dead inside a burning building. The police say that the fire might be suspicious. Firefighters found the man just before midnight. According to the NYPD and FDNY, they responded to the scene on Freeman Street. The victim, Russell Henry, a 35-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Many other people who lived in the building were able to get out safely. Man From Milton Recovers After Life-Altering Crash

Update on the Safety Issues Involved in East River Helicopter Crash
We have reported on a helicopter crash in the East River that led to the deaths of five passengers. Only the pilot of the helicopter survived the crash. The passengers were tightly bound to the aircraft and could not escape as the helicopter was becoming submerged. The helicopter was owned by Liberty Helicopters and was being chartered by FlyNYON.
