On April 23, State Police Hamptonburg arrested Edward Murph for a DWI. Murph is 37-years-old and from Carmel, New York. He was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be driving while drunk. On April 23, State Police Middletown arrested Christopher Arpine for a DWI. Aprine is 58 and from New Windsor. He was stopped for a traffic law violation and arrested for driving while drunk. On April 14, State Police Greenville arrested Denzel Warner for a DWI after he was stopped for a traffic law violation. Warner is 17 and from Middletown, New York. 8-year-old Fatally Hit by Minivan in Bronx

In the Bronx, an 8-year-old boy was hit by a minivan while being taken home from school on Monday night. The boy was killed in the accident. The police are calling this incident a heartbreaking accident. The accident occurred in the 900 block of East 215th Street at around 6 in the evening. The child has been identified as Cellou Daiollo. According to officials, a family friend was backing the van up when the child was hit. A neighbor, Beverly Taylor, had this to say about the accident, “I saw the little boy, he was just standing there and the car was parking and just hit him, hit him out of nowhere.” According to neighbors, the female driver was a family friend who was taking the child home. Bicyclist Fatally Hit in Bronx

Police are still looking for a driver who hit a bicyclist in the Bronx. The driver hit the bicyclist and then ran off, leaving the injured person to die. This morning, traffic jams were reported on bridges from one end of the Staten Island Expressway to the other side. This happened during the Tuesday morning rush hour time. Fire Destroys 7 Businesses in Bronx

On April 23, a five-alarm fire burned through many stores that were situated in a row. This incident occurred in the Fordham area of the Bronx. The fire started at East 194th Street at around 5:30 n the morning on Tuesday. Around 250 firefighters came to the scene with 50 pieces of equipment. Ladders were used to knock down some of the flames, and the fire was brought under control hours after they began fighting the blaze. The fire is reported to have destroyed seven businesses. These businesses included a pizza shop, barbershop, Chinese restaurant, and more. A grocery store was able to be saved. FDNY Chief of Department James Leonard said the success of the day is that there were no injuries.
