Auburn Pedestrian, Kylle L. Hopkins, Seriously Injured After Being Hit By Car
This story is recent as it was reported on Saturday, April 14, 2018. A 26-year-old pedestrian had to be airlifted to Upstate University Hospital after he was hit by a car. This happened at 10:10 at night on Friday. According to the police, Kylle L. Hopkins, 26-years-old, was walking through an intersection at Genesee and Columbus. He was hit by a vehicle being driven by Doris M. Ramsperger, a 60-year-old from Auburn. According to the police, the accident was Hopkins’ fault. So, the operator of the vehicle was not ticketed for the incident. It appears the injuries Hopkins received were not life-threatening. A landing zone for a helicopter was made at a business on Orchard Street, and Hopkins was airlifted from there. If more information on this story becomes available, we will keep you posted. One in Hospital After Tractor-Trailer Accident in Weedsport
Crews were called out to an accident that occurred on South Seneca Street in Weedsport. This incident happened at around 5:45 in the evening and involved a tractor-trailer and a car. First responders arrived at 8864 South Seneca Street for an accident that involved minor injuries. When they got to the scene, they found one vehicle that was on its side. The injuries from the accident appear to have been mostly minor. But, one patient did have to be taken to Auburn Community Hospital by ambulance. Fatal Accident in Royalton Claims Life of Terence Standsblack
In the town of Royalton, New York, a Clarence man was killed on Friday evening after a head-on accident. This information comes from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office responded to an accident that happened on Akron Road near Miller Road. When they got there they found one vehicle on the road and another in a ditch. Officials say their investigation so far reveals a vehicle being driven by 27-year-old Terence Standsblac of Clarence was attempting to pass the vehicle ahead of him when he hit an eastbound vehicle. Standsblack was taken to ECMC where he was reported dead on Saturday. The driver of the other vehicle, Devon Kinney, was taken to ECMC and remains in stable condition at this time. Update: Driver Charged After Injuring Eight People, Including One Child
This story is an update on a new story we reported on yesterday. In Flatbush, eight people were injured, some seriously, after a multi-vehicle crash that happened in Brooklyn. The driver had been charged with driving while intoxicated. Witnesses say that a black car was trying to turn when speeding Mercedes jumped the curb and drove up on the sidewalk. This happened on Friday night at the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Farragut Road. The car hit into four pedestrians who were there waiting for the bus. Among the people that were injured was one child, a 16-year-old, and a 21-year old. David Olivier, a 27-year-old from Flatbush, was the driver of the car. Cop Injured in Crash on Long Island Expressway
A police officer was injured in an accident on the Long Island Expressway. The accident happened last week. The officer was injured when his vehicle was hit, said the police. The eastbound lane of the expressway was closed at the William Floyd Parkway because of the multi-vehicle crash that happened near Exit 69. According to police, a Suffolk County police highway patrol officer was in his car at the time. He was blocking the left lane of the eastbound expressway in response to a one-car crash that had just happened. While in his car, a van hit the rear end of the vehicle.
