MTA Officer Going to Trial for Striking Pedestrian
An MTA Bridges and Tunnels officer is going to trial after being indicted for allegedly striking a pedestrian while on duty and then dropping him off in Staten Island. His court date is set for May. The hearings are being held for Lawrence Ffrench, a 43-year-old, who is being held without bail. He has been appearing in court since June 2017 for the alleged hit and run incident. He is being accused of striking a 41-year-old man near the corner of 92nd Street and Gatling Place. The man was thrown in the air and sustained serious injuries.
