The MTA is starting tests on its new app ahead of the public launch that is supposed to happen in the coming weeks. A Man Killed by Train at Long Island Railroad Station

Last week, a man was struck and killed by a train at the Lynbrook Long Island Railroad station. The man has still not been identified, according to MTA officials. Service was suspended going in both directions on the Long Beach line. Homicide detectives were on the scene investigating the incident. The man was hit by the train at around 8:15 at night. Person Hit and Killed by Train While Walking Along Tracks

A person who was walking along the train tracks in Beacon was hit by a train and killed. This information comes from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police. The police said that an unauthorized person was walking south of the Metro-North station around 12:30 in the afternoon. They were hit by a train that was headed north. An update on a story we reported on earlier. A New York City transit worker was killed in late March while at a bus depot in Queens. The victim was Stephen Livecchi. He is a 59-year-old man. He was directing traffic at the depot at around 10 in the morning when the bus operation ran over him. The bus operator failed to see the man while he was driving in reverse. On April 4th, a New York City Department of Transportation worker was hit by a car on that Wednesday morning. The accident led to the man’s death. This incident occurred in the Bronx. According to sources, the accident happened at around 10:30 in the morning off the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway near Exit 5 in Baychester.
