Bicyclist Fatally Hit in Bronx

Police are still looking for a driver who hit a bicyclist in the Bronx. The driver hit the bicyclist and then ran off, leaving the injured person to die. This incident happened at around 11 at night on Monday, and it occurred specifically on Webster Avenue in Mount Hope. According to police, the driver was in a box truck and hit a 46-year-old cyclist and then just kept on driving. The driver is reported to have gotten onto the Cross Bronx Expressway. This morning, traffic jams were reported on bridges from one end of the Staten Island Expressway to the other side. This happened during the Tuesday morning rush hour time. Drivers heading to New Jersey on Goethals Bridge faced a delay of about 20 minutes. The delay was caused by an incident on the New Jersey Turnpike. Fire Destroys 7 Businesses in Bronx

On April 23, a five-alarm fire burned through many stores that were situated in a row. This incident occurred in the Fordham area of the Bronx. The fire started at East 194th Street at around 5:30 n the morning on Tuesday. Around 250 firefighters came to the scene with 50 pieces of equipment. Ladders were used to knock down some of the flames, and the fire was brought under control hours after they began fighting the blaze. The fire is reported to have destroyed seven businesses. Fire in Canandaigua Still Being Investigated

A barn located at Gibson Street in Canandaigua was marked as a complete loss after a structural fire that happened overnight. The fire was reported in the area of Wood and Gibson Streets at first. The barn was situated between many homes and was just a few blocks away from Sonnenberg Gardens, but, luckily no homes were damaged in the blaze. It also appears that no one was injured in the fire. Firefighter Taken to Hospital After Fighting Seneca Falls Fire

A firefighter from Geneva had to be airlifted to the hospital on Monday night. He was taken to the hospital after suffering from a heart issue while fighting a house fire in Seneca County. This information comes from volunteer firefighters. Firefighters were taking on a blaze outside of the home located at 31 Moore Street in Border City. The officer, Don Dillon, suffered from a shattered pelvis, fractured hip, and a broken leg when a car slammed into his police vehicle on March 13.
