Road Rage in Long Island Leads to 2 People Hit by Car
In Long Island, a Westbury man is being charged with assault. He is being charged with assault after he allegedly struck two people with his car after an incident fighting over a parking space. The incident happened on the Jericho Turnpike near the intersection of Mineola Boulevard in Mineola. According to Nassau County police, Anthony Scott, a 37-year-old, was double parked. He got into a fight with three people who were in another car. According to witnesses, Scott then attacked the three people. There was a brief physical altercation, and the victims started walking back to the sidewalk when Scott sped up and crashed into them. A 52-year-old woman was injured as well as a 38-year old man. Pit Bull Attacks Woman on Manhattan Subway
In Lower Manhattan on April 25, police are looking for the owner of a pit bull that attacked a woman on the Subway last Friday. The pit bull attached itself to the woman’s foot. The incident happened at around 4 in the evening on Friday after a dispute between the pet owner and a woman. This happened on the downtown 4 train. The incident was recorded by a witness, TahSyi Kyng. He was riding on the train with his girlfriend. In the video, you can see the pit bull latching onto the woman’s shoe and not letting go until the shoe came off. Police are Investigating Fires at Homes in Spring Valley
Police have been asking for the public to help them identify a man who was seen walking next to a house fire in Spring Valley earlier this month. They have found through their investigation that a fire set in a vacant home on Decatur Avenue was intentionally set. The police say the man who was shown to be wearing dark clothing is not a suspect. They just want to find him to see what information he is. Just a couple weeks after the first fire, firefighters encounter another blaze at a vacant house around a mile away. At Least 8 Hurt in Long Island City Apartment Fire

A fire in Long Island City in Queens that broke out late Tuesday caused injury to eight people. At least one of these people was seriously injured. The fire started at an apartment on the first floor of a building located on 46th Avenue. It started around 10:40 at night. Many people inside the building heard sounds like an explosion and realized something was wrong. Firefighters ran to the first floor after they heard that a man was trapped inside. A hit-and-run driver who was in a box truck hit and killed a bicyclist who was pedaling next to the vehicle. This happened on Monday In the Bronx. The white box truck was going south on Webster Avenue near the Cross Bronx Expressway in the Tremont area. This occurred on Monday at 10:40. The driver of the truck was trying to make a right turn to get on the ramp to the expressway. As he turned, he hit the cyclist and knocked the man onto the road. NYPD Bus Plan to Clear Congestion
The NYPD has a plan to clear congestion in the bus lane. MTA members say they are unveiling a Bus Action Plan. The plan is calling for onboard cameras to help keep the lanes clear. This plan is being put in place to improve MTA bus service. The city needs to improve enforcement of bus lanes according to the MTA board members at a meeting on Monday. The president of NYC transit, Andy Byford, unveiled a bus action plan to improve service. This plan is being met with praise from board members as well as transit advocates.
