Car Hits Into Apartment in Greenburgh
An elderly couple suffered from minor injuries after they hit their car into the front of an apartment building. This happened in Westchester County last Thursday. Their Honda Accord hit the front of Building B at the Scarsdale Ridge Apartments at 344 Central Park Avenue. This happened in Greenburgh at around 2 in the afternoon. The car drove halfway into the building and made a hole in the brick wall. The two people in the car were transported to Westchester County Medical Center. It appears that no one else was injured in the accident. The 12 apartments located in the building were evacuated, and the utilities also had to be shut off. Engineers are looking at the structural damage of the building. 2 Teenagers Accused of Starting Fire in Auburn
Two teenagers have been arrested and charged because of a large fire that caused damage to a vacant building on Perrine Street in Auburn. The police said witnesses saw the teenagers leaving the building just before the fire was reported. The teenage boys, both of them from Auburn, were found on Clark Street Road. They were both interviewed and then charged. Their names and photographs are not going to be released because they are minors. One of them, 16-years-old, was charged with fourth-degree arson and trespass. The other teenager was charged with trespassing. Police and other emergency responders arrived at the scene at around 11 in the morning on Saturday. It appears that no one was injured in this fire. 3 Drivers Arrested for DWI
This update comes from the past two days and gives you information about people who have been arrested for DWIs in New York. Three drivers were arrested for DWIs in the area. On April 23, State Police Hamptonburg arrested Edward Murph for a DWI. Murph is 37-years-old and from Carmel, New York. He was stopped for a traffic violation and was found to be driving while drunk. On April 23, State Police Middletown arrested Christopher Arpine for a DWI. Aprine is 58 and from New Windsor. He was stopped for a traffic law violation and arrested for driving while drunk. On April 14, State Police Greenville arrested Denzel Warner for a DWI after he was stopped for a traffic law violation. Warner is 17 and from Middletown, New York. 8-year-old Fatally Hit by Minivan in Bronx
In the Bronx, an 8-year-old boy was hit by a minivan while being taken home from school on Monday night. The boy was killed in the accident. The police are calling this incident a heartbreaking accident. The accident occurred in the 900 block of East 215th Street at around 6 in the evening. The child has been identified as Cellou Daiollo. According to officials, a family friend was backing the van up when the child was hit. Bicyclist Fatally Hit in Bronx
Police are still looking for a driver who hit a bicyclist in the Bronx. The driver hit the bicyclist and then ran off, leaving the injured person to die. This incident happened at around 11 at night on Monday, and it occurred specifically on Webster Avenue in Mount Hope. According to police, the driver was in a box truck and hit a 46-year-old cyclist and then just kept on driving. The driver is reported to have gotten onto the Cross Bronx Expressway.
