In Danbury, a tractor-trailer driver was charged after crashing into multiple vehicles including a New York State Police cruiser and for driving while under the influence of drugs. A NYSP trooper saw the accident while conducting a traffic stop at around 10 in the morning on Friday on I-684 northbound. Police say that Christopher Hillman, driving a 2005 Peterbilt tractor-trailer, hit a car in front of him. He then drove to the right shoulder and hit the patrol car and another vehicle. Police Are looking for a driver who caused a hit-and-run accident that led to one fatality. This accident occurred in Queens on Sunday. Police responded to a call at around 12:40 in the morning. The call said a pedestrian had been hit at Hillside Avenue and 153rd Street. Police found a 54-year-old man unconscious with severe trauma over his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Three people have died and at least three others are being listed in critical condition after a fire that started at a home in Queens on Saturday night. The fire started at around midnight on 93-20 211th Street in Queens Village. The fire spread through the two-story house. FDNY crews helped 11 individuals get out of the house, and they were taken to local hospitals. This information comes from the police.
