The officer, Don Dillon, suffered from a shattered pelvis, fractured hip, and a broken leg when a car slammed into his police vehicle on March 13. At the end of March, there was a serious accident that happened on the Long Island Expressway in Shirley. This information comes from the Suffolk County Police. A pick-up truck was traveling west near exit 68 at around 3:30 in the afternoon. It hit a minivan, and then crossed the median and hit a motorcycle and another minivan. In Tribeca in Manhattan, a pedestrian was hit by a piece of falling debris. This incident happened on Friday afternoon. According to authorities, a piece of scaffolding fell off of an office high-rise. The building was located at 101 Barclay Street, and the accident happened at around 2:15 in the afternoon. In the town of Royalton, New York, a Clarence man was killed on Friday evening after a head-on accident. This information comes from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office responded to an accident that happened on Akron Road near Miller Road. When they got there they found one vehicle on the road and another in a ditch.
