On April 23, a five-alarm fire burned through many stores that were situated in a row. This incident occurred in the Fordham area of the Bronx. The fire started at East 194th Street at around 5:30 n the morning on Tuesday. Around 250 firefighters came to the scene with 50 pieces of equipment. A barn located at Gibson Street in Canandaigua was marked as a complete loss after a structural fire that happened overnight. The fire was reported in the area of Wood and Gibson Streets at first. A firefighter from Geneva had to be airlifted to the hospital on Monday night. He was taken to the hospital after suffering from a heart issue while fighting a house fire in Seneca County. At the end of March, there was a serious accident that happened on the Long Island Expressway in Shirley. This information comes from the Suffolk County Police.
