7 People Hurt, 2 Dead After Crash Near JFK

A catastrophic accident led to the deaths of two people and injuries to seven more people. This accident happened on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. The accident was a chain-reaction crash that happened near JFK airport.

So far, two of the people who were injured have been arrested in connection with the collision. Investigators are currently looking into drunk driving as a possible factor in the collision.

Five cars, at least, were involved in the collision. One of the cars ended up being completely engulfed in fire. While the cause of the crash is still being investigated, alcohol could have been a factor. Weather is also being considered as a factor as there was heavy fog in the area at the time of the crash.

The incident was a fiery chain-reaction crash. Five people injured were taken to nearby hospitals. Their condition is still unknown. The multi-vehicle wreck happened near the Nassau Expressway in Inwood at about 1:30 in the morning.

Two people were killed in the accident. Their identities have not yet been released. Police will continue to investigate the crash.

The Nassau Expressway between Burnside Avenue and Bay Boulevard was shut down for many hours.
